In just a few weeks the second International Festival of Brand Experience will take place in Dortmund. As for the premiere in January 2019, the organisers have created an attractive collection of remarkable presentations and workshops.

More than 80 renowned German and international speakers await the 1,000 visitors from Germany and abroad on the nine stages in the Messe Dortmund, hall 3, with fascinating workshops and presentations. Professor Roland Lambrette will open the proceedings with his talk entitled “The end of the ‘full speed ahead’ mindset. What now?”, in which he will discuss the transformation of society for everyone involved in the field of communications. Roland Lambrette, one of the four founders of Atelier Markgraph, is known as a pioneer of communication in space and is currently the president of the University of the Arts Bremen.

Then everything takes place in rapid succession: Polina Zakh of the creative workshop Sila Sveta (Moscow/New York) will speak on the topic of ‘Digital Immersive Experiences’. Dr. James Morgan, founder of Event Tech Lab, will talk about ‘Emotional Triggers and Behaviour Change’, while Frank Ditz of Facebook Germany will speak about ‘Increasing Participation for Live Events Using Technology and Social Media’.

‘Are you still counting or are you already tracking?’ is the title of a panel discussion moderated by Johannes Plass (Mutabor), during which Kerstin Dahnert from Porsche, Stefan Ponikva from the BMW Group, Ralph Herrmann from the Würth Group and Christoph Beaufils from ISPO will explore the topic of performance measurement in brand experience.

However, the BrandEx programme encompasses not only marketing and communication, but also includes exciting debates on the issues of our time. Boxing promoter Sönke Andersen will present a fuck-up talk in twelve rounds on how he is reinventing German boxing, but nobody is paying attention. Hanna Zoike, student & climate activist with Fridays for Future, will speak about the current environmental challenges.

The entrance to the second International Festival of Brand Experience, with the theme ’02 | Passion’, in Dortmund is from 10:00 a.m. on 14 January 2020. The setting consists of four themed areas that whisk visitors away to various ‘spheres of passion’. After the completion of the festival programme, the presentation of this year’s prizes will take place on the main stage during the BrandEx Awards Ceremony before the evening culminates in the after-show party. Further information about the programme and the speakers is available on the website at www.brand-ex.org, where tickets of various categories can also be ordered.
