Movecat has developed VDE-compliant power supplies with all-phase-sensitive Type B RCDs for operation with frequency converters in accordance with DIN EN 50178/VDE 0160 for its V-Motion modules.
The power supplies are delivered in 19″ metal cases three, six or nine rack units in height depending upon the equipment of the model. The integrated, all-phase main switch is lockable, thereby offering comprehensive protection against unauthorized access. Further features include a Type A RCD with individual ELCB and protection for two Schuko outputs to supply the control and network components as well as the implementation of a continuous system voltage and earthing potential.
The versions with 32 A and 63 A CEE inputs are available with a choice of from two to eight CEE 16 A outputs. All the CEE outputs are equipped with triple C circuit breakers.
The integrated, active protection and combined phase / neutral conductor commutation monitoring with all-phase disconnection in case of a fault provide for VDE-compliant and safe operation even in the presence of the leakage currents associated with frequency inverters. As an option, Movecat offers for integration a network-capable multi-function measurement and power supply analysis module complete with an RJ45 Ethernet output.
