Kettenzug_Installation_Kreml_Staatspalat_2018_webSince the market launch of ChainMaster products in 1994, the Saxon-based medium-sized company has developed into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of lifting technology in the event industry and offers a comprehensive product range for all requirements from set-up operations to complex scenic movements to complete automation of performances. National and international projects are managed individually from planning through to implementation and user training, and the worldwide network of ChainMaster Consulting Offices, trading partners and trained service companies ensures optimal after-sales service.

ChainMaster works closely with the leading stage construction companies on the market, developing and implementing customer-specific solutions that are used in classic and modern theatres, opera houses, TV studios, multi-purpose halls or on tour. A wide variety of drives such as chain hoists, winches, trolleys, lifting platforms or rotating platforms can be integrated into the ChainMaster XYZ control system, enabling professional users to benefit from safe all-in-one solutions with optimum performance in accordance with EN 61508 SIL3 and BGV-C1.

The company’s references therefore include venues such as the new Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Louvre in Lens, the Stockholm Opera, the Almaty Ice Arena, the Nokia Theater Los Angeles, the Kremlin State Palace, the 2014 Olympic Games in Sotchi, the Effenar Concert Hall and the Ballerup Superarena in Denmark.

Among other things, the first prototype models of the new SK series will be presented at this year’s Prolight + Sound. The new chain hoists are dimensioned according to SQ P2, which was released in October, and can now safely hold loads of up to 750 kg over people according to D8plus with a static chain safety factor of 8:1. In addition, the IP level of protection has been increased to better protect the drives against moisture. Further models are still in the design phase and are expected to be presented to users in 2020.

Furthermore, a new control panel for the XYZ-SIL3 control system will be presented. The standard equipment includes a 19″ touch screen and two analog joysticks. The console can be extended using two HDMI/DVI monitor outputs. Up to four joysticks and additional cue buttons for live operation can also be optionally integrated.
