Movecat presents brand-new product range at the Prolight + Sound

MovecatPLUSliteRC_webInnovative product developments, new features and optimized systems – Movecat is presenting an expanded product range from 12 to 15 March 2014 at the Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt.

Among the highlights being presented at the Prolight + Sound 2014 are the first devices in Movecat’s new load measuring series. These feature intelligent load measurement sensors, are suitable for both analogue and network operation, can run in stand-alone but also network and radio modes, and combine versatility, modularity and proven safety.

A PC-compatible item of visualization and analysis software for up to 48 LMS load measuring sensors in the I-Motion network comes in the form of Movecat’s LMS AS-1 load measurement application. The software is capable of displaying individual loads, load groups and the total load from all sensors. It also offers the individual definition, evaluation and display of overload and underload conditions as well as automatic logging in 24-hour sustained operation. The results can also be displayed – even weeks later – in time grids ranging in size from 24 hours to one second and PDF files produced for documentation purposes.

There’s a new arrival, too, in the I-Motion Basic family: the BASIC-C system controller. The device in desk format is equipped with an integrated dynamic control lever with dead-man functionality, a 10.4″ touch screen and an input keyboard. The BASIC-C controller is ideal for small to medium-sized production applications with regulated Vario drives where it is wished to control the show using a dynamic drive lever.

Movecat has also released Version 3 of its software for the I-Motion network. V3 is based on a database structure that enhances performance – especially in the execution of complex show sequences. New ‚Drag & Drop‘ technology simplifies object programming for scene changes. Moreover, V3 of the software is capable of accommodating multiple languages and character sets.

Also new are the new low-voltage control (RC) versions of Movecat’s D8 and D8 Plus rigging hoists. These models can be operated using standard low-voltage controllers and integrated very easily into existing systems. The RC versions  come with an electronics board housing all the requisite components, including a 24-volt DC power supply, and can be used directly or in connection with a dual-track geared limit switch. Both the RC board and the optional geared limit switch feature the tried-and-tested TLI system from the V series to ensure that operating statuses are displayed in an unambiguous way. The connector systems and assignments are standard market ones. An RC kit is also available as an upgrade for existing DC hoists.

Last but not least, additional RC versions of established Movecat products are being presented in the successful „L“ and „E“ chain-hoist controller series. Their basic function sets are identical to those of the DC versions, but the new devices offer, in addition, selective motor protection circuit breakers for each chain hoist as well as Movecat’s renowned user-friendliness and safety technology.  In the E Series, the MRC manual operating devices of both DC and RC versions are identical, and they can also be operated via M-Link as a unified group.

Detailed information is available at the Movecat booth (Hall 9 Stand D84) at the Prolight + Sound.
