Sharing the product designation LoCo CLS, a number of new active load measuring sensors in shackle format have been added to the Movecat range. Their most unusual feature is the integration of a chargeable battery allowing for up to 30 days‘ stand-alone use. The nominal loads of the models LCS 3.25 and LCS 475 are 3.25 and 4.75 tons respectively, the safety factor being in each case 5:1.
Both load measuring sensors are available in either cabled or wireless versions. The DC cabled version offers digital and 4-20 mA analogue outputs with up to 24 cells linkable, whilst for the RF version a choice is offered between digital radio or cable operation. The radio module employs an EU-sanctioned ISM band. The Wake-On Radio functionality makes remote launching from Sleep mode possible, which is a particularly attractive feature whenever sustained stand-alone operation is contemplated.
The black powder-coated shackles are Made in Europe and come with a works certificate.
In the LoCo R2DC/RF Load Control Receiver, Movecat is also offering a receiver and charger for up to twenty-four LCS sensors in cabled (DC) and wireless (RF) versions. The DC version offers a digital input and the RF version the choice between digital radio or cable operation.
A 2 x 16-character liquid crystal display backlit in RGB combined with the integrated status LEDs provide users with a clear overview, and a jog-wheel input module easy operation, of the new devices. Also on board are a PowerCon 100-240 V input and a USB 2.0 output for PC visualization.
