Movecat is bringing to this year’s Prolight + Sound a wealth of new products that it will be displaying on stands in halls 3, 4 and 5 (Hall 3, Stand E39; Hall 4, Stand G51; Hall 5, Stand A73). Among the new products is the Movecat PROstage+ D8 Plus chain hoist, which boasts an outstanding laden-to-unladen weight ratio. Movecat has developed for the D8/D8 Plus market segments a completely new range of electric chain hoists exhibiting an exceptionally high laden-to-unladen weight ratio as well as a new and innovative lifting gear implementation.
New in the portfolio is the production-ready Movecat EXPERT-T III, an I-Motion system controller shown to users last year as a design study for discussion and interdisciplinary consultation with the development team. Numerous features of the prototype – such as the daylight and outdoor PCAP display in 24″ format, the extended hot-key keyboard level and above all software features at the operating and object level – have found their way into the finished product.
With its DMX SMART WINCH, Movecat is adding to its range a compact winch for use in lighting and media installations that makes DMX 512-controlled scenic applications possible. With it, the fully dynamic movement and positioning of DMX-controlled objects can be accomplished. By means of the hybrid lifting tackle, the suspended objects can be provided with power and also controlled via DMX. The DMX SMART WINCH complies in full with the provisions of DGUV V17 (BGV C1) and is suitable for the scenic movement of loads over people.
For electric chain hoists belonging to Movecat’s ECO and PLUS series, the company is introducing to the market the new BSZ-DC Operating Hours Counter. This can be integrated into DC drives with 400 V AC direct control and requires no external voltage source. The data is output to a digital display that is legible in daylight, even when the chain hoist is at rest. The BSZ-DC therefore makes possible the determination, in the course of the annual UVV examination, of the remaining useful life even of hoists in dry hire service.
The Prolight + Sound runs from 10 to 13 April in Frankfurt.
