This year the presentation of the PRG LEA German Live Entertainment Awards is taking place for the first time in Frankfurt. Featuring prominently among the stage equipment for the prestigious event are kinetic solutions from Movecat.
The awards presentation in Frankfurt’s Festhalle is being combined this year with the official opening ceremony for two leading international trade fairs: the Musikmesse and the Prolight + Sound. Top German and international acts as well as celebrities from the worlds of culture, entertainment, sports and politics will be the guests in the Festhalle of the German concert and tour organizer. In the course of the gala event, along with the fourteen Live Entertainment Awards, the Frankfurt Music Prize will be presented by the Mayor of Frankfurt, Petra Roth.
For the event, Think Abele of Nufringen is providing state-of-the-art lifting gear for the positioning of the stage equipment: a certified Movecat BGVC1 / SIL3 system similar to the one used for the ZDF TV production „Wetten, dass?“. For the PRG LEA ceremony, the system chosen comprises 18 VMK chain hoists, V-Motion variable motion power packs, the NDB network distributor and the Expert-T control console. The technical realisation of the awards ceremony is being handled by PRG (Production Resource Group), an internationally-active full-service provider for the technical equipment of events and TV productions.
The PRG Live Entertainment Awards (info: www.lea2011.de) recognize the achievements not only of performing artists but also of the events organizers, managers, agents and venue operators that make such a significant contribution to their success. The idea is to reward the outstanding accomplishments of the German events and entertainment industry, draw the attention of the media to its work, and make the movers and shakers of the industry known to a wider public. The PRG Live Entertainment Awards cover the entire spectrum of the live entertainment scene and are given to the most successful, innovative and creative players in a variety of fields.
