As an extension of the successful V-Motion series, Movecat is presenting at the Prolight+Sound the products V-Motion 55 for drives up to 5.5 kW and V-Motion 75 for drives up to 7.5 kW. The power packs for kinetic systems are available in each case in 5U metal housings. A large backlit LC display provides information continuously on all operating conditions.
V-Motion power packs, used in combination with drives of the V series from Movecat, permit the creation of intelligent and safe kinetic systems with variable speeds that comply with BGV C1/SIL 1-3 and EN 61508 respectively. With the V-Motion power packs, speeds continuously variable from null to maximum are possible as a closed-loop system with full torque even during runs continuing beyond the null point (‚floating state‘ and reversal of direction without incursion of the brakes). The V-Motion power packs therefore allow way- and time-synchronous group and load runs as well as complex scenic transformation operations in contemporary studio, theatrical and event productions, whilst at all times according the highest respect to the demands of safety.
The new V-Motion power packs also permit the integration of more powerful existing drives for units such as winches, platforms, turntables etc. into the Movecat I-Motion network.
